Kate, a vital cog on the film set, likes pushing people around. Her favourite coworker is Spencer, a warm and wonderful camera operator. People call them the ‘dream team’… but she could never tell Spencer that he’s all she dreams of.

Spencer loves having Kate on his camera crew. She’s dedicated, trustworthy, meticulous and smooth as silk to work alongside. He also knows she’s idiosyncratic, contained and private. Outside of work, they seldom meet. In fact, they know very little about each other.

He could never know that Kate’s always battling insecurities, aware that she’s different but apprehensive about finding out more. Deep down, she knows that if they dated and things didn’t work out, their professional relationship would be over—and it’s not worth the risk.

It’s day one of new film shoot with a hotshot American director and beautiful but tricky Hollywood leading lady Carrie DeVere… and things don’t start well. Could this be the project that tests Kate & Spencer’s bond to breaking point?

When Spencer and Carrie start getting on famously, Kate realises that his career aspirations are in reach. It’s also a sobering sign that he deserves someone beautiful and normal, not a quirky social hermit.

Yet this production will push Kate and Spencer closer together than they’d ever thought possible, forcing them to deal with demons at work and at home. Could love conquer everything, or might it ruin what they have?
